We’re a company of skilled craftsmen who are committed to building beautiful homes to the highest standards. Specializing in new construction, residential remodels, and restorations, BrightWork Builders partners with homeowners and architects to deliver an optimal building experience that results in inspiring homes that are a joy to live in.
BrightWork Builders was founded in 2004 by Gary Timpe, a graduate of the University of Washington’s School of Engineering and an active member of the Seattle construction community for more than 20 years.
Our Process
Introduction
We meet with you to introduce ourselves, learn about your project needs, define the scope, and compile all the details needed to provide a complete estimate.
Estimate
We provide you with an estimate detailing all aspects of the job, including the scope, materials, and schedule. After your review, we make needed adjustments and then kick off the project.
Manage Build
We review project plans, order materials, schedule subcontractors, and oversee all work. We keep the site clean by isolating the area and cleaning at the end of each day.
Communicate
Throughout the project, we communicate all aspects of its progress, bring up issues requiring your input, and attend to all of your concerns.
Finish
Upon completion of the project, you are invited to review all the work to make sure it’s done to your satisfaction. We remove all signs of construction, so your new home is ready to be enjoyed.

BrightWork Builders has built longstanding relationships with local architects to deliver excellence in design and construction. Our passion for home design is reflected in the quality and craftsmanship found in every project we build. From traditional homes to contemporary, we craft spaces that realize the full intent of an architect’s original design. We emphasize incorporating the overall design and details that architect’s bring to the project.

BrightWork Builders believes that building green is building smart. It reduces the environmental impact, improves indoor air quality, and uses energy and water more efficiently. It also increases the resale value of your home. We’re proud members of the King and Snohomish Counties Built Green program, and we are “live roof” certified installers.
